My mother and I went to the cemetary to visit my fathers grave a couple days before Christmas. He passed away in Oct and this was our first Christmas without him. We were both so shocked and pleased to see the beautiful wreaths. I was not aware of this program before but will help in any way I can in the years to come. Thank you so very much!

Thank you so very much for the wreaths. I visited my parents graves today, Section 1 plots 9 & 10, and was so moved by what I saw. It was truly beautiful. I hope next year to be able to support this wonderful organization as well as help participate.

I visited the cemetery on December 14 to place some holiday greenery for my parents, who will be spending their first Christmas at the cemetery. I was profoundly overjoyed to see their wreath, and all the others - so beautiful! My parents were married in 1942 when he was in flight school. He was 20 and she was 17. He went on to become a combat pilot and served in the Navy for 29 years. Thank you for the remembrance.

Every grave had a wreath, Thank you.
I received a call this morning from a veteran who could not make it Saturday morning. His children and grandchildren did. He told me this was the first time he heard his grandchildren speak with pride and an understanding of how importantant it to honor our heroes. This made that veteran very proud.

Ms. Papastathis thank you for all your efforts to make Saturday a special time for all of our friends and family. On behalf of our family and our son John A. Waldbart IT-2 I -2158 THANK YOU! The wreath laying showed respect to these men and women, the Bugles Across America volunteers were wonderful, and the Wreath Laying for the Branches and Fly Overs breath taking. We had several friends join us for this day and each have commented their appreciation.
I will attempt to send you photos I have.

My husband, Steve, and I volunteered this morning--helping to lay wreaths at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. We were fortunate to be able to stay for the noon ceremony as well. It was especially meaningful to us because my parents are buried in this beautiful setting. We want to thank all the volunteers, but primarily Evanthe for her dedication to this cause--seeing a wreath on each gravesite is inspiring. You are appreciated!

I sent in funds to WAA HQ for 2411 wreaths in Canton and 72 wreaths in Marietta. This number of wreaths was made possible due to the fundraising program in which I receive 3 wreaths for every 2 wreaths I am able to help sponsor. I could not have done this without the support of so many people. Thank You Very Much!

I do not have the current count of the other fundraising groups. I only have the 10/19 count and it was 29 wreaths for Canton and 699 for Marietta.

I also do not have the online donation count.

We need to place over 3000 wreaths at the headstones of our military resting in Georgia National Cemetery and 20,000 wreaths for the headstones in Marietta National Cemetery.

The deadline to sponsor wreaths has been pushed back to Monday, Novemebr 30. I suggest if you wish to donate, please do so on line. Use location ID # GNACCA and Fundraising ID # CAP SER GA 130

As of this morning, Nov 6, we have 704 wreaths sponsored for GNC. I have verbal commitments for 200 to 300 more. This would bring us to around 1000 wreaths. The time is near and we need 3000 wreaths to place a wreath at every soldiers grave at GNC.

Thank you to all those who have helped in this wonderful program.

I am very excited to be invited to speak at the BGE PTA meeting this coming Tuesday, 11/10 at 7pm. It is wonderful to know the children and their families are getting behind this wonderful project. We are getting the word out.

One month to go and so many wreaths still needed. I have emailed strangers and speak to all I am in contact with about this beautiful project. I know in my heart we will be able to place plenty of wreaths on the soldiers graves in Canton.

If you are here and unsure about sponsoring a wreath, please do so as it means so much to their families that their loved ones are remembered!
