On December 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm, WV0108 - NSDAR, Cheat River Chapter will be helping Aurora Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

In Memory Of for Charles K Richardson, United States Military, Born 12/19/19, Passed On 09/17/45, Honored by Grafton National Cemetery
Charles, or Keith as he was known, was my grandfather. He died in France in September of 1945 after contracting pneumonia. He was 25 years old and left behind his wife, Marguerite, a 4 year old daughter, Connie Sue, and a 2 year old son, Ronald Keith.

Directions to Cemetery
Aurora Cemetery is located on the Aurora Pike at 221 German Settlement Way, Aurora, WV 26705.
You will see a white church (St Paul Lutheran Church). Turn into the church entrance and drive around the back of the church. Follow the road up the hill toward the cemetery.
Parking Instructions
There is minimal parking space a the church; however, be prepared to walk up the hill to the cemetery. It is not a long walk, but is uphill. There will be people giving rides on ATV vehicles if you would like a ride.
You may also try to park higher up in the cemetery area in the grassy parking space next to the cemetery road.
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Aurora Cemetery.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath by taking and placing just one at a time.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
