Thunder for Wreaths Ride Raises $20,000 for Andersonville

Word has spread in the South Atlanta Metro that people want to remember our veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. That freedom was celebrated by the Thunder Tower West Harley Davidson dealership in Morrow Georgia, and the Thunder Riders West Harley Owner’s Group who banded together with employees from Bennett and the Taylor Family foundation to raise awareness for Wreaths Across America. The First Annual Thunder for Wreaths Ride brought the HOGS and the Truckers together to purchase wreaths for the gravesites of our fallen heroes at Andersonville National Cemetery.

More than 60 motorcycles went on a ride through Henry County  Georgia, escorted by local law enforcement. At the Thunder Tower West Harley-Davidson dealership there was music, smoked barbecue, bands and various motorcycle related vendors who helped raise money and awareness fo Wreaths Across America. The event was a rousing success for a first-ever event, raising more than $20,000 to purchase wreaths for the 2019 National Wreaths Across America day wreath-laying at Andersonville National Cemetery.
