Welcome to the Linares Chapter DAR (CA0048P)'s Wreaths Across America Page. 

On Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM, Linares Chapter DAR (CA0048P) will be helping Miramar National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. 

Please help us Remember, Honor, and Teach on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM by sponsoring a wreath, volunteering, or inviting friends to help.

Parking is limited and the Veterans Administration is providing their employee parking lot and shuttle service for off site parking. You will be directed.

Traffic will be extremely heavy. We suggest ride sharing such as Uber or Lyft. Handicap parking will be provided on site. There will be traffic & parking control. 

Driving directions:

From I-805 South: Take Miramar Rd Exit and turn Left on Miramar Rd. At Nobel Dr turn Right. Follow parking control directions. 

From  I-805 North: Take Nobel Dr Exit and turn Right on Nobel Dr. Follow parking control’s directions.

From I-15 take Miramar Rd exit west to Nobel Dr. Turn  Left onto Nobel Dr. Follow parking control’s directions.

Parking Instructions

With over 3,000 volunteers, our parking systems are at a premium. We encourage you to carpool and/or use share rides (Lyft or Uber). If you drive, please be prepared to follow the San Diego Police Department's traffic coordinator's directions and expect to park in one of our remote locations. Buses will transport you to the cemetery grounds and run continuously from 7:30am - 11:00am. 

The ceremony begins promptly at 9:00am, so please plan accordingly for extremely heavy traffic and remote transportation.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Miramar National Cemetery . Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
  • Ceremonies around the world will be starting at the same moment, so please be on time.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
