Faces of the Mission

As the Customer Service and Merchandising lead, as well as the resident technology liaison at headquarters, Logan Staples is currently in the running for the title of “Jack of all trades!”

Logan first became involved with Wreaths Across America in late December 2013 when he was still in school. He would come in and volunteer after class helping out staff any way he could, whether it was opening mail or running errands, he was quick to lend his time and services. He stayed on as a core office volunteer through July 2014, when, after graduating, he was hired as a part-time employee. Logan continued volunteering well beyond his paid time in the office until he was officially brought on full time at the beginning of this year.

When asked what the mission means to him and how it’s impacted his life, Logan said “...the Remember aspect of our mission means the most to me. Being in customer service, you get to speak with many different people. From veterans walking into the museum to a gold star spouse or parent calling on the phone to sponsor a wreath in honor of their significant other, or child. I get to listen to heroic stories they share of their loved ones, and many of them I will never forget. We get to help them make the connection, from sponsoring a wreath to National Wreaths Across America Day, when they will then be able to place it in their loved one’s honor for their service and sacrifice. I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have to be part of this impactful mission and to learn from everyone I speak to.”
