Welcome to the Calverton National Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024 (Wreath Placement 9:00 am and must register ahead of time), Wreaths Across America will be at Calverton National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
Our registered volunteer organizations and Scout Units will begin placing the wreaths at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be assigned times to place the wreaths at sections designated by the Support Committee for Calverton National Cemetery. A brief ceremony will take place at 12 Noon at the Flag Assembly Area inside the Cemetery.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths. There are only TWO WAYS in which you can order a wreath for WAA Day. You can do a General Sponsorship for one or several wreaths. General Sponsored wreaths are NOT for personal use.
To do that, you order a "Grave Specific" wreath for a loved one's gravesite, which you can pick up from us on WAA Day or, have one of our volunteers place it if you are out of the area. The Grave Specific Order DEADLINE is Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 to guarantee that your wreath is delivered for WAA Day, December 14th.
Thank you so much for supporting Calverton National Cemetery and Wreaths Across America! If you have any questions, please email Frank Bailey at delmarcomp@aol.com

Directions to Cemetery
Calverton National Cemetery is located at 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933. The Main Entrance is located on Middle Country Road (Route 25). Volunteers and Families that are picking up “Grave Specific” orders should enter here and proceed to Section 8. Signs will be posted along the way.
For ALL OTHER REGISTERED Volunteers Groups, the Wreath Pick-up will be done at the Sections designated by the Support Committee. These sections, inside the Cemetery, change from year to year in order to give each section a chance to be decorated. Assigned starting times for wreaths to be picked up will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue throughout the morning, ending with our brief ceremony at the Main Flagpole at 12 Noon.
Parking Instructions
The speed limit inside the Cemetery is 20 MPH; please watch your speed! Vehicles should park on the closest side to the section that is being decorated with wreaths. Do not park on both sides of the roadway; it is way too narrow for two-way traffic. Only Calverton Drive can accommodate two-way traffic AND parking on both sides of the roadway. Calverton National Cemetery is the largest national cemetery in the country, comprising over 1045 acres. It is not advisable that you walk from section to section or from a section to the Assembly Area.
If you are attending the Ceremony at 12 noon, please park in the field adjacent to the Assembly Area. Do NOT park, stand or stop in the Assembly Area circle!

Here are some things to remember about the event:
Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
You agree to place the General Sponsored Wreaths at the designated sections selected by the Support Committee for Calverton National Cemetery. They are NOT for personal use.
"Personal Use" wreaths should be ordered as a "Grave Specific" wreath on the WAA website.
Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed. Those details will be emailed to every registered volunteer, organization, family, Scout Unit, etc.
There will be a brief ceremony at 12 Noon at the Main Flagpole in the Assembly Area.
We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up in January, 2025.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.

Wreath Sponsorship
Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY 11933, United States (NYCNCC) |16643|
Did you know that Wreaths Across America now offers recurring sponsorships? You can select the occurrence and cancel or pause anytime! Register now by completing this form! (https://tinyurl.com/n735zrbr)
What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you are supporting a yearlong mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Your sponsorship will support the new and existing programs developed to share the mission. And, it will place a wreath to honor an American hero at one of more than 3,700 participating locations this year on National Wreaths Across America Day – a day set aside to lay gathers as Americans with the same goal.
We can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure a hand-crafted wreath of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow here in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to one of our participating locations, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service, and sacrifice is never forgotten.
So, what does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to those who stepped up to serve.
*Please Note: Specific locations designated as "ceremonial-only" accept a limited number of sponsorships. Any additional sponsorships received beyond those used for the ceremony will be distributed to other locations.
