William Poole, or Buckaroo as we lovingly called him, was one of the kindest, gentlest and loving souls ever to walk the earth. He trulu had space in his heart for any fellow human being and is missed greatly but remembered with joy.

To honor the more than 1 million soldiers that have died to protect all of our freedoms. It is unfortunate that so many Americans take their freedoms for granted and abuse these rights.
Thank you from a drafted disabled Vietnam Veteran.

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, you may enter Gate 1, 2, or 3 off of 34th St. The ceremony will be held at the main flag pole in front of the Visitors Center, which is marked as the thick circle on the map. Please allow ample time to park and arrive at the site before the ceremony starts.
Parking Instructions
There is plenty of parking along the sides of the road. When parking please allow room for other vehicles to pass. Please be thoughtful of those who may need clear access to the ceremony, and leave room for them near the flagpole. It was very busy last year, and many struggled to find parking close enough to make the walk. Handicap parking will be down Mallon Road on the left-hand side. If you need additional assistance, please let one of the Civil Air Patrol members know and they will assist you.
If you would like to have someone special you would like to have honored with a wreath you can do so by going to:
The National Gravesite Locator at https://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/ to find the information required to make the request.
After finding the grave specific information, please go to the Wreaths Across America page at https://donate.wreathsacrossamerica.org/?pageId=34024&relatedId=16213&productId=116 and scroll down to find the “Grave Specific” button. To ensure the program works correctly, complete all the information (even the optional items) or we may not be able to place the wreath.

Wreath Sponsorship
Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN 55450-1105, United States (MNFSNM) |16213|
Did you know that Wreaths Across America now offers recurring sponsorships? You can select the occurrence and cancel or pause anytime! Register now by completing this form! (https://tinyurl.com/n735zrbr)
What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you are supporting a yearlong mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those that serve and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Your sponsorship will support the new and existing programs developed to share the mission. And, it will place a wreath to honor an American hero at one of more than 4,400 participating locations this year on National Wreaths Across America Day – a day set aside to lay gathers as Americans with the same goal.
We can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow here in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to one of our participating locations, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice is never forgotten.
So, what does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to those who stepped up to serve.
*Please Note: Specific locations designated as "ceremonial-only" accept a limited number of sponsorships. Any additional sponsorships received beyond those used for the ceremony will be distributed to other locations.
