2021 So Far
60 Wreaths Sponsored

Thank you to everyone who donated wreaths and helped placed them for our 2020 event! Despite the challenges presented by COVID, it was a great experience for all.

Until January 15, 2021, Wreaths Across America is running a matching campaign. For every wreath donated, they will match with a second. Please help us get a jumpstart to our 2021 event by donating today! Every wreath donated gets us one closer to honoring all 3,200 of our Veterans resting at Evergreen Cemetery.

THANK YOU for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you on December 18, 2021!!

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the Evergreen Chapel where the ceremony will be held before laying wreaths at selected headstones.

Parking Instructions

There is plenty of parking around the cemetery, however, please give heed to the "No Parking" signs. This will ensure adequate room for guests and traffic. Designated handicap parking is available for those with state issued placards or license plates.

NOTE: Be mindful that there are deep irrigation ditches along many of the roadways in the cemetery - we'd hate to see you ruin a rim or tire!

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer so you will receive all updates about the cemetery itself!

This year, on National Wreaths Across America Day, we will not be holding a ceremony, but we will be laying all sponsored veteran wreaths. We are making necessary modifications to ensure the safety of all who attend and participate. To join us in laying wreaths, please click the red Volunteer button and sign up for an available time slot. Thank you!

NOTE: Unless the weather is so severe that transportation across Colorado Springs is shut down, we will be placing wreaths regardless of rain, snow, or good weather!

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
    • The ceremony starts promptly at 10:00 am at section 221 (first section on the right as you enter the cemetery) followed by the wreath laying.
    • Please do not place wreaths until the ceremony concludes and the location coordinator releases volunteers across the cemetery.
    • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
    • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
    • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
