We are happy that you are willing to support our National Wreaths Across America Day ceremony at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get updates about the cemetery and the ceremony.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Please help ensure that ALL participants have the opportunity to place a wreath. There is a VERY LIMITED number of wreaths for the large number of people who want to participate. Ask your employer to sponsor wreaths.
- Remember we are NOT here to just lay wreaths at headstones. We are honoring the fallen.
- Bring a marker/pen, then at the grave site remove the white tag from the back of the wreath. Write the name of the veteran onto the tag and then take that white tag home with you.
- Place the wreath (with red ribbon positioned on top) in front of the headstone, stand up and SALUTE, SAY the name of the veteran out loud and THANK that veteran for their service.
- We especially appreciate volunteers' willingness to help recover/clean-up wreaths on January 3rd, 2026 at 8:00AM. Register via the "Volunteer" button or just show up at 8:00 AM.
One important thing to remember is to have a positive attitude and a wonderful experience participating in this event. Thank you for helping Wreaths Across America achieve our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.
