REMEMBER the fallen… HONOR those who serve… TEACH our children the value of freedom.
Welcome to the Wreaths Across America location page for Arlington National Cemetery.
As one of the largest veteran cemeteries in the United States, the goal of placing a wreath on every marker is lofty. Our volunteers are committed to Remembering and Honoring our nation’s veterans through the laying of wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each veteran aloud.
Please help Wreaths Across America reach our goal by sponsoring a veteran's wreath and register to join us on December 18th as we place the veterans' wreaths.
Note, those interested in placing wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day - Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 - MUST pre-register via the VOLUNTEER button on this page. Proof of pre-registration is required for entry into the cemetery.
On Sunday, Dec. 12, family pass holders will have a separate opportunity from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to lay wreaths at their loved ones’ graves prior to public access. No registration is required for this specific day. Arlington National Cemetery will remain open to the public, however vehicle access and wreath distribution will be granted to family pass holders only. Family pass holder vehicles and pedestrians are encouraged to enter through the main entrance on Memorial Ave.
Please bring a government issued photo ID for the initial security screening and note that face coverings are required indoors. Family pass holder vehicles may also enter at the Old Post Chapel gate, if you are a DoD ID card holder. Walking family pass holders may also enter through the Ord & Weitzel gate, closest to the Rosslyn metro stop. Wreaths will be distributed at the funeral queuing lanes, near the administration building to those with family passes in their possession.
Thank you for supporting Wreaths Across America's efforts at Arlington National Cemetery!

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.
Note: Memorial Drive will be closed to motorists. No personal vehicles will be allowed into the cemetery. ONLY family pass holders and those with handicapped placards will be allowed to park in the ANC Welcome Center parking garage.
Use Metro to Access the Cemetery
Due to anticipated congestion at the Arlington Cemetery Station, Metro recommends volunteers exit via the Rosslyn or Pentagon stations and walk to the cemetery. From these locations it is a short 15-minute walk to one of the cemetery entrances. If exiting at Rosslyn, you must enter the cemetery via the Ord & Weitzel gate by walking along the North Meade Street sidewalks. If exiting at the Pentagon, you must enter through the cemetery South Gate entrance.
Limited general public parking will be available at the Pentagon North and South Parking lots. There will be Wreaths Across America volunteers and signage positioned in the parking lots guiding visitors to walk to the nearest cemetery entrances. For those parking in Pentagon South Parking, recommend walking to the cemetery’s South Gate entrance for screening and entry to the grounds. For those parking in Pentagon North Parking, there will be buses there to take you to the South Gate entrance area for drop off.
Family Pass Holders/Handicapped Placards
Screening for Family Pass Holders and vehicles with handicapped placards will begin in the Pentagon North Parking lot at 6am. Approved vehicles will be released to park in the ANC Welcome Center parking garage. This garage will close at 7:30am and remain closed until ANC deems the area safe for vehicles to travel. ONLY family pass holders and those with handicapped placards will be allowed to park in the ANC Welcome Center parking garage.
There will be no bus parking available at ANC or Pentagon Parking. Volunteers arriving by bus will need to be dropped off at a predetermined access point and park off site.
Rideshare Drop-off Locations
For those volunteers who plan to arrive via a ride share (i.e. Uber, Lyft), the drop off location is the Hayes lot (599-549 Army Navy Drive). From this point, volunteers will need to walk to the cemetery’s South Gate entrance.
