Welcome to the New East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page. 

On December 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at New East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button.

Shuttles for volunteers will be running from 2 parking lots - Knox-Chapman Utility District & Aqua-Chem Inc. beginning at 10:30 a.m., both on E Governor John Sevier Hwy. Parking inside the cemetery will be reserved for handicap visitors only.

Directions to Cemetery

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.

Parking Instructions

Parking at  Governor John Sevier Veterans State Cemetery is a challenge as this cemetery is large and not set up to accommodate the crowd we have at WAA event. 

Police will be at the entrance to assist with traffic flow.

We ask that you save the cemetery parking for the elderly or handicap.  We have additional parking at the KUB on John Sevier Highway with a warm shuttle bus ready to take you to the cemetery and return you to your car afterwards.  PLEASE help us with parking issues, PARK AND RIDE THE WARM SHUTTLE BUS.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at  Governor John Sevier Veterans State Cemetery. We do not request you register to volunteer to place a wreath, anyone that attends our ceremony will be allowed to place wreath (s).
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating while  helping to place wreaths. Remeber our mission to remember, honor and teach.
