REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
In cooperation with the Warrior Run-Fort Freeland Heritage Society, the Shikelimo chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is sponsoring the National Wreaths Across America Day campaign with the ceremony on December 13, 2025 at noon at 41 Warrior Lane, Watsontown, PA 17777.
The Shikelimo chapter is proud to sponsor this historic cemetery with 78 Revolutionary War soldiers, as well as 12 soldiers from the War of 1812, one soldier from the Mexican War, and 10 soldiers from the Civil War. The first interment was sometime after 1789, with older graves being moved from their original location which is now the Watsontown borough park. Some of the 589 persons buried in this holy ground were both veterans and settlers that were part of the battle of Fort Freeland in 1779 which occurred less than a quarter mile away.
Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.
