- We are in need of wreaths for Eastern Carolina State Veterans, Evergreen Memorial, and Willow Dale Cemeteries!
- PIKEVILLE CEMETERY HAS MET THEIR GOAL FOR THIS YEAR.
We will be honoring our local veterans at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Evergreen Memorial Cemetery and Pikeville Cemetery on December 14th. See individual pages for ceremony times.
Please consider sponsoring a wreath that will be placed at any of the 4 participating Wayne County locations. All wreaths will be sent to each location for placement on that day. Each wreath is $17. The location will get a free wreath for every 2 purchased, but ONLY if you go to wreathsacrossamerica.org/NC0474. You will not see the extra wreaths on your receipt, as this is credited to us at the time the wreaths are shipped.
Join us for a Wreath Day Ceremony, where you can be part of a Wayne County tradition, since 2013, to remember our local fallen heroes with a Remembrance Wreath!

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery.
- PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!! CEREMONY STARTS PROMPTLY AT NOON!
- When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself and kindly listen to the volunteers that are assisting with the parking.
- There will be 2 golf carts to assist those that are not able to make the walk up to the ceremony site. Please be mindful and allow those in need the use of the golf carts.
Parking Instructions
There is plenty of parking at this cemetery. Please be aware that you may have to park in the overflow area that is across the street from the cemetery. Please be kind and follow the guidance of our volunteers. 2 Golf cart shuttles are provided for those needing assistance with making the walk up to the ceremony area. We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
