John McDowell Heard, who paid the ultimate sacrifice on March 25, 1945 during WWII at the age of 21. He was one of three navigators of a B-24 Liberator shot down over Germany during a bombing run targeting the underground oil storage depot at Buchen. His remains, and those of the other two navigators, 1st Lt. Knute Stalland and and 2nd Lt. Roland Hauver, were recovered after the end of the war and reinterred in common grave at Zacahry Taylor National Cemetery.</div><a class='btn btn-primary btn-sm mt-2 remember-wall-toggle-long-description' onclick='initRememberWallToggleLongDescriptionBtn(this)'>Learn more</a> John M Heard, Army

William C. McGinley was aTechnical Sergeant with the 577th Bomb Squadron, 392nd Bomb Group, 8th Air Force in England during World War II. He was killed in action on August 12, 1944, at the age of 21. He was a much beloved son and brother. My family and I honor my uncle's memory and his ultimate sacrifice on the 80th anniversary year of his death. We pray for the repose of his soul.

Ernest Everett Edge was named after his father (Ernest Edge) and his uncle (Everett Hughes). He was the second son in a family of 12. His older brother, George William Edge was killed in action on November 26, 1944 in Longesville, France. He was a member of Patton's 3rd Army. Ernest Everett was a member of the 23rd Regiment 2nd Army Division. He was killed during the battle of the May Massacre from May 16 to May 20, 1951.
