SGT Samuel Clark arrived in NYC from Ireland in 1853. Served in the 1st NY Volunteer Engineer Regiment. Enlisted September 1861, mortally wounded at Battery Gregg, Morris Island SC , 22SEP1863, he was 29 years of age. Samuel left behind his wife Sarah and 3 children; Elizabeth, John and Samuel.
