REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
Welcome to the Bath National Cemetery Wreaths Across America (WAA) page. WAA Day 2021 will be held on Saturday, December 18th, at 12:00 pm in the Cemetery which is located adjacent to the Veterans Administration in Bath, NY.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on WAA Day, and inviting your family and friends to attend with you. You can sponsor wreath(s) through one of the many sponsoring organizations by clicking on the “Groups” dropdown menu at the top of this page, or by clicking on the “Sponsor Wreaths” red button shown above.
This year's theme is “Live Up To Their Legacy.” The inspiration for this theme came from a statement made by United States Army Chief of Staff, General James C. McConville, in an interview with Chris Wallace on 'Fox News Sunday' in early November 2020, speaking on behalf of the United States Army and the upcoming opening of The National Museum of the United States Army. During the interview, he said, "We stand on the shoulders of heroes that have gone before us, and really what we strive to do is live up to their legacy."
Up-to-date information on Bath WAA will be posted on our NEW Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/WAABathNYNationalCemetery/
Special note: there will be no placing of grave-specific wreaths.

Welcome to the Bath National Cemetery Wreaths Across America (WAA) Page. This year's theme is “Be An American Worth Fighting For.”
Plans are under way to hold WAA 2020 at the Bath National Cemetery at the Bath VA Medical Center. Wreath sponsorships are encouraged and can be made online at www.WreathsAcrossAmericaBathNY.org no later than November 30th.
Hosting, or possible cancelation, of the event will be based on Covid-19 conditions in accordance with CDC, NYS, NCA (National Cemetery Administration) and Public Health guidelines as we approach the December 19th time frame. Wreaths sponsored for 2020 will be carried over to 2021 in the event of cancelation.
The public is invited to participate in wreath laying, however this year’s event will be handled much differently than in prior years. Wreath placements will be held on Thursday 12/17 and Friday 12/18 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, and at noon on Saturday 12/19 until completion. The number of attendees allowed will be in accordance with health guidelines at the time, so entry to the cemetery will be on a first-come basis. The number of wreaths placed will be limited each day, allowing attendees over the three days an opportunity to participate. Face coverings and social distancing will be mandatory.
Additionally, due to mandated guidelines from the National Cemetery Administration, the ceremony normally held prior to wreath laying by volunteers will be held at a different time and closed to the public. The ceremony will be aired on social media.
Thank you so much for supporting Bath National Cemetery and Wreaths Across America!
