On December 19, 2026 at 09:00 am (EST), MA0131 - Wreaths for Newbury will be helping Newbury Burial Grounds and Cemeteries to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.
12pm – Volunteers will meet at Evergreen Cemetery, Cottage Road, Newbury
1pm – Volunteers will meet at the First Parish Burying Ground and Thomas Parker Cemetery, High Road, Newbury
2:30pm – Volunteers will meet at the Newburyport Veterans Cemetery, Auburn Street, Newburyport

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot.Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Newbury Burial Grounds and Cemeteries. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Thank you for volunteering to help us with our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach by participating in our wreath-laying ceremonies for our Veterans in Newbury. Here is the schedule for National Wreath Day, December 19, 2026 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details) – feel free to join us for part or all of the afternoon as we visit several cemeteries to place the sponsored wreaths on their graves.
12pm – Volunteers will meet at Evergreen Cemetery, Cottage Road, Newbury to place 54 wreaths on the graves of the Veterans in this cemetery.
1pm – Volunteers will meet at the First Parish Burying Ground and Thomas Parker Cemetery, High Road, Newbury to place 140 wreaths on the graves of the Veterans in these cemeteries.
2:30pm – Volunteers will meet at the Newburyport Veterans Cemetery, Auburn Street, Newburyport to place 184 wreaths on the graves of the Veterans in this cemetery.
Please dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes as the ground can be slippery. All are welcome to place a wreath, if you need help or have a request to place a specific wreath please let Tracey know. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
