Welcome to the Daughters of the American Revolution-Milwaukee Chapter's Wreaths Across America Page.
On December 19th 2026 our daughters will be helping at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI, and also at Wood National Cemetery which is located on the grounds of Zablocki Veterans Hospital to remember our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Teaching Character through Conflict: The Medal of Honor Character Development Program
The Medal of Honor Character Development Program (MOH CDP) has grown since 2009 to include lessons that can be used with over 115 primary source videos in which Recipients tell their own stories.

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.
Parking Instructions
There is parking at this cemetery, feel free to park along the roads.
NOTE: Parking in front ot Flag Plaza is intended for Ceremonial Wreath participants on this day only.
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to take part and help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at The Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove Wisconsin. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the 10:00 AM ceremony to allow for parking along the roads. Please follow directions of traffic flow as posted throughout the cemetery grounds,
- Dress for our Wisconsin weather and bundle up buttercups!
- Ceremony will be held outdoors and space is limited around the Service Flag Plaza/ceremonial site. Please do not block the area where the ceremony will be held and allow wreath presenters and escorts the room needed during the procession and ceremony.
- Folks of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged and welcome to join us.
- Please follow the Location Coordinators instructions on protocol as to when and where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- No wreaths are to be placed until the completion of the Ceremony!
- Distribution of wreaths will be done as quickly as possible by our volunteer teams to help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreaths.
Here are some things to remember about wreath retrieval: (Wreaths are typically picked up 30 days after placement)
- We appreciate our volunteers willing to help clean-up. Each and every one of our dedicated volunteers from many organizations worked tirelessly this past year as did the WDVA Grounds Crew /Cemetery staff at this location and the wreaths were picked up in record time.
- Tentatively in 2027, wreaths will be picked up by cemetery staff.
- Hours for visiting at the cemetery are sunrise to sunset.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for helping Wreaths Across America achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
