Welcome to the MO0237 - Ozark Spring Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution's Wreaths Across America Page. 

On December 13, 2025 at 11:00 am, MO0237 - Ozark Spring Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be helping Veterans Memorial Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

In Memory Of for Clyde Clinton Elam, United States Military, Honored by Veterans Memorial Cemetery

Clyde Clinton Elam 12-10-1926 to 12-30-2007He enlisted in the Navy on March 12, 1945 and was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station. He served aboard the USS Piedmont and at one time this ship was stationed off the Coast of Japan in Yokosuka Bay. Clyde was honorably discharged on October 13, 1947 at the USN Station, San Diego, CA. He was awarded the Asian Pacific Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He is buried at the Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Mtn. View, Missouri

In Memory Of for Gerome (Bud) Souders, United States Military, Honored by Veterans Memorial Cemetery

Gerome (Bud) Souders 01-19-1913 - 11-15-2005Souders entered the US Navy on April 10, 1945 at the Great Lakes Naval Station and trained at the Naval Center Farragut, IA. He served aboard the US Crux AX115 Supply Ship. He was Honorably discharged on February 28, 1946. He received the Victory Medal - Points

Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.

Parking Instructions

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery.  There will be volunteers there to help direct you.  If you need handicap parking, please let them know.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mtn. View, Missouri. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.

Welcome to Wreaths Across America sponsored by Ozark Spring Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and thank you deeply for helping us with our goal to honor as many veterans as possible on Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, December 13, 2025.  Wreath laying for family members will begin at 10:30 a.m. with remaining placement to follow.  Ceremony at 11:00 a.m.  Please click "View" to learn more about our effort or to volunteer to help or click "Sponsor" to purchase wreaths that will be laid on the graves of our fallen heroes by our loyal volunteers.
