Welcome to the Southern Fauquier Cemeteries's Wreaths Across America Page. 

On December 13, 2025 at 10:00 am (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Southern Fauquier Cemeteries to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you. 

Our ceremony will be held at Remington Cemetery starting at 10 AM located at 11910 Cemetery Road, Remington, VA.

Southern Fauquier honors its veterans; Wreaths Across America tradition continues to grow

Hundreds of volunteers and attendees assembled in a half-circle around the American Flag at the heart of the Remington Cemetery on Saturday for the Harold J. Davis American Legion Post 247’s sixth annual Wreaths Across America event. For the first time, the tradition commenced with a ceremonial tribute to veterans before wreaths were distributed across Fauquier County’s cemeteries.

In Memory Of for Jerome T. Kenner, United States Military, Honored by Southern Fauquier Cemeteries

On Friday, February 21 at 11:30 PM, surrounded by people who loved him; Jerome Kenner left this temporal life and passed to Kennersley above.His last wish was that his family open a special bottle of premium aged whiskey purchased at Fort Meade in Maryland. Engraved with the name of one of our ancestors, the Revolutionary War Hero Midshipman Howson Kenner II.His was a life of service from serving in the Navy to being the Hospital Administrator in three town’s in rural Missouri: Herman, Doniphan and Dexter. He served in several fraternal orders include Veterans of Foreign War to being the President of the Eagle’s lodge.His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren miss him very much

There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot.

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Southern Fauquier Cemeteries. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
