Missouri Trucking Association — WAA Trucking

Incorporated in 1937, the Missouri Trucking Association now represents the interests of over 600 member companies operating trucks, including both for-hire and private carriers, and allied members that provide products and services to the motor carriers industry.

MoTA informs its membership about important issues by publishing a semi-monthly newsletter, the Missouri Memo, periodic legislative bulletins, and news alerts as necessary.  In addition, educational seminars, an annual safety and maintenance conference as well as an annual convention keep the membership informed of the latest in the multitude of state and federal laws and regulations affecting the motor carrier industry.

The Council of Safety Supervisors, dedicated safety professionals from Association member companies, places emphasis on safety. The Council sponsors the annual Missouri Truck Driving Championships affording professional drivers the opportunity to compete on both the state and national level.  In addition the Council sponsors safety awards for drivers, safety supervisors and the companies themselves to encourage all to elevate safety standards.

The Technology and Maintenance Council, fleet maintenance and service professionals, pursues the highest standards of productivity and safety in commercial motor vehicle maintenance.  The Council sponsors the annual SuperTech competition affording maintenance professionals the opportunity to compete in both Missouri and national competition. In addition the Council sponsors a maintenance supervisor award.
