Vann Brown, otherwise known as “The Bullsnot guy,” used his love of chemistry to build his own company dedicated to providing effective cleaning products for truck drivers and other hard-working people. He continues to use his love of science and his generosity to aid professional truck drivers and support the mission of Wreaths Across America.

This week on Trucking Tributes, host Don Queeney welcomes Brown, the founder and CEO of Brown Ox Ventures.

Since his time at the University of Georgia studying chemistry, Brown has been fascinated with creating interesting substances. His unforgettable product, “Bullsnot,” is a tire lubricant that earns its name from its slimy consistency. Brown’s interesting branding has earned him a reputation as “the Bullsnot guy” in the trucking industry. Every year, he generously provides Wreaths Across America with his products to gift to the hundreds of professional truck drivers picking up loads of veterans’ wreaths for delivery across the country. Queeney notes that the drivers ask year after year if Bullsnot will be provided.

Brown’s generosity does not end with donating products to drivers. He sponsors the Starstruck White Lines trucking show in Atlanta, Georgia, that raises money solely for Wreaths Across America. Brown said there is nothing more important than honoring our nation’s servicemembers and laying wreaths for veterans at Christmas time. 

“The trucking community has a huge heart, and most of the truckers are veterans,” Brown said. He went on to say that truck drivers donate their own equipment, time and money to support the mission. “Show me another charity where the people are donating to that level. That means that what Wreaths Across America stands for is valued,” Brown said.
